Nearly 30 years of broad-based experience and applied knowledge in advising clients and trying cases across the country relating to areas of antitrust, securities, product liability, and corporate commercial issues. Have tried or litigated cases across the country in both federal and state courts.
Corporate clients/client industries have spanned the spectrum from smaller companies to the Fortune 100, and representations have involved the banking, securities, tobacco, manufacturing, and service industries. Involvement has ranged from providing general antitrust advice to reorganizing a law department, while preparing a bank to be sold, and trying cases involving a wide spectrum of legal theories and case law with considerable dollar amounts.
Since initiating a consulting practice, I have worked to "clean up" the asbestos docket of a Fortune 500 company and have successfully reduced its claims from approximately 9,000 to slightly in excess of 3,500; worked with a large financial services company to reduce its litigation exposure and successfully resolved its largest case by mediation after a year of expensive litigation; and worked with one of the nation's largest sub-prime lenders on over $1 billion of repurchase requests as well as to resolve its outstanding litigation. I am also on the approved list of mediators/arbitrators for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
